This short book, despite being written a few good years before Russia's illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, points exactly the risks that Ukraine faced regarding the ownership of this strip of land. Kuzio was rather raising a warning that the next hot spot in Europe, after the Balkan peninsula, was to be Ukraine, something that shortly, sadly, was to be proven true.
