Devastatingly Beautiful

Really glad that I stumbled across this book.
It is a bit of a slow burn, but the story picks up a lot in the last few chapters and you are left with all the loose ends tied up, which I really appreciate.
Would have liked to see Roya have more development, especially once she and Zara arrived in America. That's my main gripe for this book.
If you do pick up this book, just be aware that the Persian culture is definitely incorporated through the book, but it's more sprinkled through. And while the book starts off leaning towards politics and activism through Bahman, that disappears after the first third of the book.
